Scope
This standard specifies the vapor pressure test method for gasoline (1), which may also include volatile crude oil and other volatile petroleum products. However, it includes liquefied petroleum gas (2) and is not applicable to the testing of oxygenated fuels. Note (1): Since the external atmospheric pressure is offset by the atmospheric pressure that originally existed in the air chamber, Ray's vapor pressure is - at a temperature of 37.8oC (100oF), expressed in psi or kPa.
