Scope

This standard specifies a method for testing the crosstalk ratio of two optical channels in optical cables, connectorized optical cables, optical fiber splices or other similar devices. In addition, crosstalk caused by the device can also be determined. This test measures how effectively the materials used around an optical transmission device limit the leakage of light. For optical fiber couplers and similar devices, measure the remote and near-end crosstalk.
