- 1.1 This standard specifies the preparation method of wet soil samples used for soil particle analysis and constant determination. 1.2 This preparation method can be carried out according to one of the following steps. Step A: The supplied soil is first dried at a temperature below 60oC, and the soil sample is separated with a 2.00 mm sieve (1) or a 425 um sieve or a combination of both, and then dried at a temperature below 60oC.
