- This standard stipulates that rolled steel plates for steel structures with a thickness of 13 mm or more or slit flat steel plates with a thickness of 13 mm or more and a width of 180 mm or more that can withstand static forces (such as buildings) or dynamic forces (such as bridges) shall be tested using pulse wave reflection ultrasonic testing. Regulations on testing timing, testing equipment, calibration methods, testing procedures, display evaluation, defect records and acceptance criteria when the instrument implements direct velocity testing.
