- 1.1 This standard is applicable to the determination of reducing sulfur content in paper and cardboard. 1.2 This standard is divided into quantitative testing and semi-quantitative testing. 1.3 This method is not used to test whether the sample will tarnish the polished metal surface. When using this method, if the reducing sulfur content measured in the paper is less than 0.0008%, it can be assumed that the paper will not tarnish due to the paper. The sulfur in it causes the metal surface to lose its luster. 1.4 This Law
