- This standard specifies the method of measuring the ISO whiteness of pulp, paper and cardboard by the method of diffused blue light reflectance. This standard is only applicable to the determination of white or nearly white pulp, paper and cardboard. It can also be used to measure samples containing fluorescent agents to enhance their visibility. In order to standardize the measurement equipment and obtain consistent measurement values using various instruments during the test, a fluorescence calibration plate must be used to adjust the violet rays in the irradiation light.
