Scope

This standard is applicable to automatic or manual ultrasonic testing of the inner and outer surfaces of the arc welding longitudinal bead of carbon steel and low alloy steel pipes whose outer diameter is more than 350mm and whose wall thickness is more than 6mm. When used for special steel pipe inspection, it may be specified in accordance with other relevant standards, but shall not be lower than this standard.
