- Scope
- This standard specifies the inspection methods and judgment criteria for point welded parts (hereinafter referred to as welded parts) of low carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminum and aluminum alloys with a plate thickness of less than 5.0mm. Exceptions include hardened materials, surface treatment materials, protective metals and dissimilar material combinations where the tensile strength of the welded part is less than 25% of the tensile shear strength.
