Scope

This standard specifies the measurement of the expansion characteristics of carbonate rocks immersed in sodium hydroxide solution at room temperature. The change in the length of the rock caused by the above immersion conditions can indicate the degree of its overall reactivity, and can be used to determine whether testing is needed to determine the impact of the aggregates formed by the rock on the volume change of the concrete.
