- This standard specifies the test methods for toughness and ultimate tensile stress of asphalt materials. This test method is used to determine the characteristics of elastomer-modified asphalt. However, the toughness and ultimate tensile stress values of any type of polymer-modified asphalt or non-modified asphalt can be measured by this method. Remarks 1. To preserve the accuracy of the original reference data, the units listed in this standard drawing are imperial.
