- Scope
- This standard specifies the identification, marking, sampling locations and preparation of specimens and specimens for mechanical testing of steel bars, steel rods, wires, plates and pipe products as defined in ISO 6929. When the buyer and seller agree, it is also applicable to metal products other than this standard, but is not applicable to non-destructive testing. When the product standards or material standards are not specified, the test specimens and test pieces provided in this standard can be used for the test methods specified in the standards.
