This technical specification defines the intercommunication architecture between the extended DNS (EDNS) and the CDN global load balancing (GSLB), focusing on solving the problem of insufficient positioning accuracy of traditional DNS in edge computing scenarios. The EDNS Client Subnet (ECS) extended field carries the real IP information of the terminal, realizing the precise scheduling of CDN nodes.
| Technical dimensions | Traditional DNS | Extended DNS (EDNS) |
|---|---|---|
| Positioning accuracy | Depends on Local DNS IP | Terminal real IP subnet |
| NAT penetration | Unable to identify terminal | Supports ECS address transparent transmission |
| Scheduling granularity | City level | Access network Edge node level |
