YD/T XXXX-2023 standard defines for the first time the three major operating modes of the adaptive dual-cold source computer room temperature control system:

Key technical requirements

5.3.2 Rated cooling capacity

The system needs to verify its cooling capacity under two standard operating conditions:

  • Compressor cooling mode: 28℃ dry bulb temperature condition, cooling capacity ≥ 95% of the nominal value
  • Natural cooling mode: 8℃ inlet water temperature condition, cooling capacity ≥ 95% of the nominal value

5.8 Intelligent control requirements

The actual application case of a data center shows that through class=instrument>Three-way valve dynamically adjusts water flow, and the energy saving effect in mixed mode is improved by 12%. The system needs to have:

  1. Mode automatic switching response time <3 minutes
  2. Compressor start delay protection function
  3. Cold source output ratio dynamic algorithm

Implementation suggestions

Energy efficiency optimization plan

It is recommended to give priority to energy efficiency ratio level 1 products (natural cooling mode ≥14, compressor mode ≥3.15), and the investment recovery period is about 2-3 years.

Installation precautions

  • Altitude>1000m requires special design of compressor heat dissipation
  • Ethylene glycol solution concentration is recommended to be 30%-40%
  • Water system pressure drop is controlled within 150kPa
