Scope
This document specifies the usage characteristics, product naming, basic requirements, technical requirements, finished submarine cable markings, cable testing, acceptance rules, shipping, storage and transportation of cross-linked polyethylene insulated submarine cables for DC transmission with rated voltages of 500 kV and below. Post-installation testing, quality commitment. This document applies to cross-linked polyethylene insulated DC submarine cables and optical fiber composite DC submarine cables with rated voltages of 500 kV and below used under submarine laying and operating conditions.
