Scope
This document specifies the usage characteristics, product naming, basic requirements, technical requirements, finished submarine cable markings, cable testing, acceptance rules, shipping, storage and transportation of cross-linked polyethylene insulated submarine cables for DC transmission with rated voltages of 500 kV and below. Post-installation testing, quality commitment. This document applies to cross-linked polyethylene insulated DC submarine cables and optical fiber composite DC submarine cables with rated voltages of 500 kV and below used under submarine laying and operating conditions. This document can also be used for underwater cables laid in rivers and lakes.
