Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions, product models, markings, identification of insulated cores, general requirements for cable structure and cable usage guidelines for polyolefin insulated cables with rated voltages of 300/500V and below. This document applies to polyolefin insulated and sheathed (if any) flexible and rigid cables with rated voltages of 300/500V and below, for power devices with AC nominal voltages not exceeding 300/500V. Note: For some types of flexible cables, the term "cord" may be used.
