Standard Overview and Technology Evolution

AMS6360R is an aerospace material specification released by SAE International in December 2023, replacing AMS6360P. This standard specifies seamless mechanical steel tubes with a composition of 0.95Cr-0.20Mo (0.28-0.33C), corresponding to UNS G41300 steel grade.

Mechanical Performance Indicators

Depending on the pipe size, the minimum tensile strength requirements are:

  • Wall thickness ≤ 0.188 inches: 95 ksi (655 MPa)
  • Wall thickness > 0.188 inches: 90 ksi (621 MPa)
