AMS6360R is an aerospace material specification released by SAE International in December 2023, replacing AMS6360P. This standard specifies seamless mechanical steel tubes with a composition of 0.95Cr-0.20Mo (0.28-0.33C), corresponding to UNS G41300 steel grade.
| Element | Minimum Value(%) | Maximum Value(%) |
|---|---|---|
| Carbon (C) | 0.28 | 0.33 |
| Chromium (Cr) | 0.80 | 1.10 |
| Molybdenum (Mo) | 0.15 | 0.25 |
| Phosphorus (P) | - | 0.025 |
Depending on the pipe size, the minimum tensile strength requirements are:
| Chemical Composition | Per Heat | ASTM A751 |
| Grain Size | Periodic Inspection when Contains Refining Elements | ASTM E112 |
| Cleanliness | Periodic testing is possible after passing AMS2301 certification | AMS2301 |
