Requirements and recommendations for space system cybersecurity management

Scope: This document defines the requirements and recommendations for managing cybersecurity for space systems. Space systems include manned and unmanned spacecraft, launchers, payloads, experiments, ground equipment, and any other space facilities. This document describes the processes, techniques, and responsibilities for managing cybersecurity, as well as methods to prevent and mitigate accidents and incidents. This document addresses systems engineering activities and provides requirements and recommendations for security engineering. This document establishes a common reference for the space sector to manage cybersecurity systems engineering issues related to all space products, services, and programs. This document does not describe in detail the systems engineering processes or the associated project management processes, or detailed requirements or processes for cybersecurity.
