- This document provides an efficient and reliable test method for testing the internal electric field of insulating materials used in high voltage applications by the Pressure Wave Propagation (PWP) method. It is applicable to planar and coaxial geometry samples with a thickness greater than or equal to 0.5 mm and an electric field higher than 1 kV/mm, but also depends on the thickness of the sample and the pressure wave generator.
