Scope
This part of the IEC 61084 series of standards specifies requirements and test methods for cable trough systems (CTS) and cable raceway systems (CDS) used to house insulated conductors, cables and possibly other electrical equipment in electrical and/or telecommunication system installations and to provide electrical protective separation where necessary. The maximum voltage for these installations is 1000 V ac and 1500 V dc. Slotted cable trough systems are designed for installation in cabinets of electrical and/or telecommunication system installations. This document does not apply to conduit systems, cable tray systems, cable ladder systems, power rail systems or equipment covered by other standards. NOTE: When IEC 61084-1:2017 is referenced in this document, this does not apply to cable raceway systems.
