As the first special specification for fennel in the supply and marketing cooperative industry, this standard inherits the GB/T 12729 series of spice standard systems, and adds the quantitative index of homologous heterogeneity (≤3g/100g) and the volatile oil dry basis determination requirement (≥1.5mL/100g). Compared with the general standard GB/T 15691, it directly quotes the latest limit requirements of GB 2762 in terms of pollutant control.
| Test Items | Whole Grain Indicators | Powder Indicators | Test Methods |
|---|---|---|---|
| Moisture Content | ≤14% | ≤14% | GB 5009.3 Method 3 |
| Volatile Oil | ≥1.5mL/100g | ≥1.5mL/100g | GB/T 30385 |
| Homologous Heterogeneous Matter | ≤3g/100g | Not detectable | GB/T 12729.5 |
A company sent a fennel powder sample for testing. The steam distillation method was used in accordance with GB/T 30385 for determination. The distillation time was controlled to be 2 hours. The receiver scale was accurate to 0.05mL. The volatile oil content was 1.8mL/100g (dry basis), which met the standard requirements.
Through observation under a stereomicroscope, it was found that there were 3 stem fragments (length>2mm) in the sample, which accounted for 2.7g/100g after weighing, and was judged as unqualified. Corrective measures include strengthening raw material screening and magnetic separation equipment calibration.
