- The text of this specification describes the problems faced by general manufacturing enterprises in order to realize the information sharing and integration between different departments and applications in different hardware/software platforms in the enterprise; it gives the communication technology and information technology involved in solving these problems , object-oriented technology and knowledge and work management technology; lists the methods and corresponding standards and norms that can be used in the design of enterprise networks, the implementation of application integration based on distributed Internet, the exchange of enterprise product data and the integration of enterprise processes.
