This standard provides comprehensive protection principles, evaluation methods and specific implementation suggestions for the occupational exposure risks that forensic workers may face during autopsy.

- Level I protection: Applicable to corpses that are not highly decomposed and have no signs of infectious diseases, and basic protective equipment must be worn.
- Level II protection: Applicable to highly decomposed corpses or corpses with potential infection risks, requiring enhanced protection measures.
- Level III protection: Applicable to confirmed or suspected corpses contaminated by hazardous chemicals or Class A infectious diseases, requiring the highest level of protection.

Case analysis: A forensic doctor of a city's public security bureau did not follow the Level II protection standard when handling a highly decomposed corpse, resulting in subsequent occupational exposure risks. According to Article 5.3.1 of this standard, a higher level of protective equipment should be selected to ensure safety.
