The standard clearly defines the performance indicators of new materials such as needle punched thread and elastic sleeve cotton for the first time (Appendix E), and stipulates that the warp and weft density deviation of polyester-viscose interwoven twill silk shall not exceed ±2%, which is better than the industry conventional requirement of ±5% for civilian clothing.
After a police uniform manufacturer adopted this standard, the slippage value of the dress seam was optimized from ≥6mm to ≤4mm (GB/T 13772.2), significantly improving the durability of the clothing. By implementing the anti-pinch design of the No. 3 reverse-threaded nylon braided zipper (Appendix I), the failure rate was reduced by 72%.
