Materialwissenschaftliche Hintergründe

Die Norm unterscheidet drei Anwendungsklassen (AK Ia-Ib, II, III) basierend auf der Feuchtebeanspruchung. Lehmsteine der AK Ia müssen höchste Anforderungen an Frostwiderstand (15 Zyklen) and Druckfestigkeit (Klasse 3) erfüllen, während AK III nur für trockene Innenräume gilt.

Praktische Anwendungsbeispiele

Ein formgepresster Lehmstein (Kennzeichnung LS-p) der Rohdichteklasse 1.6 eignet sich besonders für tragendes Mauerwerk in Feuchträumen. Die Revision 2024 vereinfacht die Klassifizierung durch Streichung des E-Modul-Nachweises und führt neue Ökobilanz-Kriterien ein.

Implementierungsempfehlungen

1. Bei Außenwänden stets AK Ia/Ib mit mind. 15% Lochanteilsbegrenzung wählen
2. Rohdichteklasse 1.4+ für tragende Elemente gemäß DIN 18940
3. Produktdatenblätter auf Vollständigkeit der Deklaration prüfen (inkl. Radionuklid-Aktivität)

Hinweis: Die Norm ersetzt die Ausgabe 2018-12 und gilt ab März 2024 als verbindlicher Standard im deutschen Lehmbau.
