Scope

This document applies to the storage, transportation, and disposal of sludge in medical institutions above the second level, as well as the disposal of sludge in designated medical institutions for prevention and control during major infectious disease outbreaks. Other qualified medical institutions may refer to this document for implementation. This document provides technical guidance on the disinfection, storage, transportation, and disposal of sludge in medical institutions, as well as recommendations on personnel safety protection. The incineration disposal of sludge in the drainage network of internal medical institutions may refer to this document for implementation. The storage, transportation, and disposal of medical waste are not subject to this document.
