Guidance for the production of pure organic substance certified reference materials

Scope: This document documents the requirements of ISO 17034 and provides specific guidance on technical considerations for the production of certified reference materials (CRMs) of pure organic substances, which are used by laboratories to calibrate measurement equipment and procedures and to establish metrological traceability of the corresponding results. The guidance applies only to CRMs containing organic compounds with well-defined structures, excluding polymeric materials. In this document, references to CRMs are limited to certified reference materials of pure organic substances, including candidate materials, unless otherwise stated.
