Scope

This document specifies how to construct accessible digital documents using the Portable Document Format (PDF) technology specified in ISO 32000-2. This document does not specify: 　——the process of converting paper or electronic documents to PDF/UA format; 　——the operational details of the technical design, user interface, implementation or presentation; 　——the physical methods of storing these documents, such as media and storage conditions; 　——the required computer hardware and/or operating systems; 　——content-specific requirements (other than facilitating programmatic access and textual representation); 　——requirements applicable to specific categories of documents (e.g. invoices, reports, etc.).
