Technology Evolution Analysis
The standard is integrated and developed based on the existing specifications of UIC and European countries, with the following major technical upgrades:
- Material flame retardancy: Reference the latest test method of EN 45545-2:2020
- Smoke control: Linkage requirements with EN 45545-6:2013 fire management system
- Dual-track vehicles: Clarify the fire separation scheme for the upper and lower floors (Appendix A)
Implementation recommendations
Design phase
- Use E15 grade fire barrier to wrap the lower luggage area (4.2.3)
- Emergency exit tools must be visible when powered off (4.3.3.3e)
Maintenance phase
- Regularly check the dust accumulation on the heater housing (Appendix A.5)
- Ensure that the dust prevention design of the ventilation system is effective (Appendix A.4)
