- Scope
- This document provides guidance on selecting, designing, and installing external bond and near-surface bond (NSM) fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) systems for reinforcing concrete structures. It describes the material properties, design, installation, quality control, and maintenance information for FRP systems used as external or NSM reinforcements. This information can be used to select FRP systems to increase the strength, stiffness, or both of reinforced concrete members, or to increase the ductility of columns.
