Scope: This specification covers the requirements for the manufacture and procurement of precast and cast-in-place concrete manholes and structural products for use in the construction of water supply, drainage, sewage and hydraulic structures. The general requirements of Sections 1 to 11 of this specification apply to all concrete products covered by this specification. Part II of this specification lists specific requirements for each manhole product. Future products will be included in specification revisions. This specification is applicable to ordering using SI units or imperial units. SI units and imperial units are not equivalent, and imperial unit values appear in parentheses for reference, but they are the applicable values of concrete products under imperial units. This specification only covers manufacturing and procurement requirements and does not include requirements for backpacks, installation or other related matters. Experience has shown that the successful construction of the product depends on the strength grade of the product selected, the type of reinforcement, the backpack material, and the handling of the manhole product and connecting pipe during construction. Therefore, the project owner should pay attention to or supervise the construction of the manhole product during construction.
