The standard sets requirements for basic installation in homes for residents without special needs. The basic installation includes infrastructure (space in switchboards, tractors and boxes) and functional requirements. The standard also provides for the possibility of continuous upgrading as needed, so as to be able to include/cover:
——upgrading of installation in line with the development of new technology;
——requirements for universal design;
——use of electronic aids within health and care services (welfare technology);
——management and automation of technical building installations for lighting, heating, ventilation, monitoring/measurement and alarm.
