Scope

This part of IEC 61243 concerns portable bipolar voltage detectors as well as their accessories (crocodile clips and detachable leads) for use in contact with parts of electrical installations: 　——at alternating voltages not exceeding 1,000 V at nominal frequencies between 16 2/3 Hz and 500 Hz, and/or - at DC voltages not exceeding 1,500 V.
