Scope
Part 3-1 of IEC 62321 describes analytical procedures for the detection of five substances, specifically lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), total chromium (Cr) and total bromine (Br) in uniform materials used in electrotechnical products using the X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF) analysis technique. This applies to polymers, metals and ceramic materials. The test method can be applied to raw materials, to specific materials derived from products and to "homogenized" mixtures of several materials. Detection of a sample is carried out using any type of spec
