This European Standard specifies the requirements for portable electrostatic spraying equipment or manually operated equipment for flammable coating powders in a temperature range of 5 oC to 40 oC used in explosive atmospheres, these being generated by their own cloud of projection.This European Standard addresses all significant electrical hazards relating to the electrostatic projection of coating powders, which may also contain small quantities of additional metallic particles, if the work is carried out under conditions recommended by the manufacturer.
