Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and models, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of plastic pipe fire-retardant rings. This standard applies to fire-retardant rings for rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic drainage pipes inside industrial and civil buildings. Fire arresting rings for other plastic pipes may refer to this standard.
