Scope

IEC's database, IEC 60617, with graphic symbols for schemes has finally been implemented in Denmark and is now available in Danish. The database contains all electrotechnical symbols for schemes, both the current and the repealed ones. The database has much more information than the standards previously contained, i.a. cross-references and notes. The symbols in the database are available as small gif image files. Knowledge of these symbols is important for everyone who has to do with electrical technical documentation, e.g. consulting engineers, installers, constructors, electricians, as well as the technical educations. Access to the database is sold as an annual subscription for DKK 2,395 per year.
