This standard describes 3- to 48-in. (80-to 1,200-mm) gray-iron or ductileiron
fittings to be used with ductile-iron pipe for potable water, wastewater, and
reclaimed water for a temperature range of 33°–120℉(0.6°–49℃). Requirements
for fittings with mechanical joints and flanged joints are listed in Tables 3 through
21 at the end of this standard. This standard may also be used for fittings with push-on joints or such other joints as may be agreed on at the time of purchase.
