Scope

This part specifies the technical requirements for interoperability of basic services (live broadcast, on-demand and time-shift services) between set-top boxes and streaming media service systems. It mainly includes the interface protocol and interface process between the set-top box and the media server. Interoperability standards related to system security, digital copyright protection, business expansion, business management, operation support, etc. are not within the scope of this standard. This standard applies to the interfaces of IPTV set-top boxes and IPTV streaming systems.
