- This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of fire axes. This standard applies to fire-fighting flat axes and fire-pointed axes used for demolition during fire-fighting rescue operations, but does not apply to fire-fighting waist axes.
