Scope

This standard specifies how to determine the sieve residue obtained by washing carbon black with water, which is one of the incidental characteristics of carbon black for rubber (hereinafter referred to as carbon black) used as a compounding agent for raw materials in the rubber industry. . This test method cannot be applied to oil-treated carbon black because the oil inhibits water wetting of the sample.
