Scope

In this part of JIS C 8147. Ballasts used with AC power supplies of up to 1000V at 50Hz or 60Hz, excluding resistance types with a rated secondary voltage of 1000V or less, used in low-pressure mercury discharge tubes for sterilization specified in JIS C 7605, Specify individual safety requirements. This standard also applies to fluorescent lamps that have not yet been standardized.
