Scope

This standard applies to high-pressure mercury lamps specified in JIS C 7604, low-pressure sodium lamps specified in JIS C 7610, high-pressure sodium lamps specified in JIS C 7621, and metal halide lamps specified in JIS C 7623. Specifies individual safety requirements for lighting ballasts used for lighting with a rated secondary voltage of 1000V or less and an AC power supply of 1000V or less with a rated frequency of 50Hz or 60Hz.
