Scope

This standard describes protective fusion-bonded cpoxy coatings for the interior and exterior surfaces of ductile-iron and gray-iron fittings used for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems. The standard describes thc material, application, and performance requirements for these coatings. This standard does not describe coatings agreed on between the purchaser and the manufacturer for special service conditions, such as saltwater, sewers, acid, high tcmperature, and so forth.
