This Standard applies to containers containing, or intended for contain-ing, inedible pastes for domestic use, as listed in the fifth addition to The Chemists Ordinance (No.2) 1964(1) ', including all the additions which may be made there to.
The Standard applies to cups and jars made of glass, plastic, paper or metal.
The Standard does not apply to containers intended for products for the sale of which a special licence is required (for example cosmetics and medicines).
The Standard does not apply to containers having an actual capacity of over 5000 g or 5000 ml for type 1 containers in accordance with Clause 3, or of over 2000 g or 2000 ml for type 2 containers in accordance with Clause 3.
