This Standard refers to the testing of the tensile properties of plastics in the form of standard test specimens tested after suitable conditioriiag.
This Standard includes the examination of the following properties:
1. Tensile strength and elongation at break; 2. Yield point and elongation at yield point; 3. Modulus of elasticity.
The Standard does not refer to the testing of plastics reinforced by fibrous materials.
