This Standard deals with identification colours enabling to distinguish between the individual cores of flexible cords used for, or intended to be used for, the connection to the electric supply of portable electrical appliances whose rated voltage is within the range 50 - 250 volt (for single phase appliances) or does not exceed 400 volt (for three-phase appliances).
The requirements of this Standard do not apply to twin flexible cords without protective sheath.
