This Standard deals with welded steel pipes in which the seam is made either by resistance butt welding or by fusion butt welding with ahieldec arc ( electric fusion butt welding ).
This Standard does not include threaded pipes, drilling pipes, precision pipes, and pipes for the conveyance of steam or warm liquid at a temperature exceeding 120 C.
