This Standard deals with the method of testing the tensile strength of fibres, yarns and threads : it describes the methods to be used in determin-ing '.
1- The tensile strength
2- Breaking length
3- Elongation at breaking
The test methods described in this Standard are not suitable for testing the strength of short fibres, but they may however be used for testing very long fibres such as silk and man-made filaments.
