This Standard applies to gaskets used for sealing of jaints in asbes-tos cement pipes conforming to S. I. 156 and for joints in the fittings conform-ing to S. I. 214. The joints may be in the asbestos cement pipes or intheir joints wi.ththeir fittings, or in joints between these and cast iron or galvanized steel pipes.
