This specification covers the general requirements for fixed, electrolytic(solid electrolyte), tantalum, molded, conformal coated and metal cased with plastic end-fill nonhermetically sealed capacitors, primarily intended for filter, bypass, coupling, and other applications where the alternating current(ac) component is small compared to the direct current(dc) rated voltage.
